When you visit the Gold Coast, you will find excitement all over the city. From action packed experiences for the little ones to the memorable adventures for the whole family, it’s no wonder that the Gold Coast continues to be a popular tourist destination. Make sure you see our first post to see some of the other places we highly recommend that you see!
5. Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre
Learn about the Yugambeh people and their beautiful culture here! It is fully owned and operated by the local Aboriginal community. Access the Art Gallery, Tours and the Gift Shop and purchase something special as a souvenir. It is only a short walk from Burleigh beach and the Tallebudgera creek. Read more about the centre here
6. Currumbin (Dog) Creek
This is the perfect spot for dog lovers! Take your four legged, furry pal for a swim or simply enjoy some down time (surrounded by lots of adorable doggos!). There is a fun playground at the park there for families as well as a cafe which is a #winwin !
7. Pepè Italia Restaurant & Bar
Okay, so Italian food is one of those things that are either good, or REALLY good. Pepè is REALLY, REALLY good. It is by far our favourite Italian on the GC, and the best part is that there are two restaurants (both owned by the same people) – one in Palm Beach and one in Burleigh. Both have similar menus but is a little different from one another. Cheese Wheel night is on Wednesdays at Palm Beach and they do happy hour as well; trust us, you will not regret dining here.
8. The Panorama
The Panorama is a residential street in the suburb of Tallai, but it’s also a hidden gem. Enjoy the view of the Gold Coast from up high, both in the day time and the night time (although we personally like the night time views more). If you’re really lucky, you might see some kangaroos there too! Just be mindful of the families who live in that street and keep disturbances and noises to a minimum.
